Privacy, in plain language.

On Appeal collects only what we need to review and manage the case you choose to submit. This beta notice explains that practical scope.

What we collect

Your name and contact details; the company or organization involved; your account of what happened; the outcome you want; your general location; documents you upload; and our internal review, communications, and outcome records.

Why we use it

To assess your submission, request missing evidence, communicate with you, organize and manage the case, improve the Appeals Engine, maintain security, and meet legal obligations.

Do not send highly sensitive information

Redact medical records, Social Security numbers, full payment-card numbers, bank credentials, passwords, and other highly sensitive information before uploading. If a document contains an account number, ordinarily leave only the last four digits visible.

How information is stored

Case details are kept in the Site’s structured case database. Uploaded files are kept in the Site’s private file storage. Access to the internal review area is restricted to authorized administrators.

Sharing

We do not sell your case information. During this private beta, information is used within On Appeal and by service providers needed to operate the Site. We will not contact a company about your matter without a separate decision to proceed and your approval.

Retention and requests

We keep beta case records while they are needed to review the submission, manage the matter, evaluate outcomes, and protect the service. To ask about access, correction, or deletion, email support@onappeal.org. Some records may need to be retained for security, legal, or integrity reasons.
